  ACTUALLY, I WAS LOOKING FOR BMW X3 AND AFTER I TEST DROVE X3 2.5. I REALIZED THAT IT IS NICE CAR BUT, ITS TOO EXPENSIVE TO PAY ALMOST $40,000 FOR MINI SUV AND BMW USE CHEAP MATERIAL AND NOT MUCH STANDARD OPTION COMPARE TO ITS HIGH PRICE. ONE DAY WHEN I WAS DRIVE IN GARDEN GROVE AREA. I SAW HYUNDAI DEALER AND I GOT CURIOUS ABOUT HYUNDAI. SO, I WALKED IN HYUNDAI AND ASK DEALER "I WANT TO TEST DRIVE SANTA FE 3.5." AFTER I DROVE SANTA FE I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED. ITS MID RANGE ACCELERATION IS EVEN BETTER THAN MY FRIENDS BMW X5 3.0. SO, I FELT LIKE I DRIVE CHEAP PORSCHE CAYENE. SO, I PURCHASED CAR AFTER I FINISHED TEST DRIVE. EVEN, I CAN AFFORD BMW X3

  I absolutely adore this vehicle. I have had many vehicles over the years and this one is by far the best. My only complaint is the gas mileage. Other than that - it is fantastic!!

  My significant other bought this vehicle. I can not drive it! The steering is stiff and hard to handle... seems like it has no power steering... I need that. I get back aches from the seats... seems like there is no lateral support for my back and bottom, as I slide side to side in the seats, and my back side is not small...

  I bought the base, manual, without a lot of bells and whistles because I wanted a manual, not an automatic. My gas mileage is probably better because of this varying from 24-28 mpg depending on how much city driving I do. On trips hwy mileage can even approach 30 mpg. I had a problem with the check engine light for the first couple of years d/t accelerator sensor position problems, but o/w very reliable. Just had to have the crankshaft sensor (and accelerator sensor) replaced as it caused the vehicle to quit completely, but overall I am very, very happy with it. Scratches do tend to occur in parking lots. Very comfortable and I want to keep this till it stops running completely.

  A great vehicle to drive, comfortable seating both front and rear seats.Good handling and reliability to the nth degree.Great visibility in side mirrors and rear view mirror.

  this vehicle has really earned my respect since ive owned my santa fe,ive not had one problem with it.at first i was kind of skepticle has to if i made the right discision to purchase a hyundai due to hyundais past history of reliability,but i must say im very much impressed. not only do i know i made the write discision,im glad i did as well.

  My husband was broadsided by another SUV that weighed 2000 lbs more than our Santa Fe, that was traveling at about 50 mph. The Santa Fe flipped from the impact, spun 180 degrees and landed on its wheels. My husband walked away from this accident. He had nothing broken, literally not even a scratch. The only injury was the soreness from the airbags and the force of the impact. I would recommend the Santa Fe to anyone based on the fact that my husband is still here with me. I appreciate the fact that Hyundai includes standard side air bags in their vehicles. The quality of the Santa Fe saved a life.
